Summer Heat

This look was just inspired mostly by the summer heat. It has been in the triple digits here in Texas so I took a pair of scissors and started to cut away. Pretty good way to stay cool, I recommend it. All of the stuff I'm wearing is old stuff I had in my closet for several years now. Good thing I hold on to things for long periods of time. You never know.

Today I'm running on two hours of sleep and I probably had the most productive day from my summer so far. A friend of mine wanted me to take some "professional" pictures of her so we went out on the town and took some really great pictures. I'll post some pictures when I finish editing them. People like her make me feel like I'm amazing at what I do.

I really don't understand the purpose for this video. Although, it really left me wanting to see more of the story. I really want the kids bag. I'm sure I'll find a decent one on ebay.

Very sad to hear that MJ died today from a cardiac arrest. Farah Fawcett who was battleing out cancer has also died today. May they R.I.P.

Early morning bike ride

Well it's summer and my sleeping schedule is all over the place. It was six in the morning and I was getting ready to go to bed when I suddenly felt the urge of going bike riding around my neighborhood. It was a really nice experience until exhaustion and dehydration really started to kick in. What was I thinking? This coming Saturday I also have a photo gig. I was asked to photograph an event where they will honor local leaders in civil rights and community service. This should be interesting. I'll post pictures of the event for you to see.

I don't know which is worst the ad with Piers Morgan half naked or the fact that Burger King made a fragrance.

Life through a fisheye

Here are some photos from a roll of film I took a while back but just got developed. The quality of the prints were not very good in the first place so when I scanned them I had to fix some weird lines that ran across the photos. You can still see my attempt to fix the lines. Don't judge me, it was three in the morning. Never again will I develop my film and print at Costco. Some of them are very grainy but that's just part of using 400 speed film under low light conditions.

The latest Mexican comedy starring Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna is a must see!

Gael García Bernal singing a Spanish version of Cheap Trick's song "I want you to want me" for the movie Rudo y Cursi.

I would also recommend checking out the soundtrack for the movie. It features some great indie acts such as Devendra Banhart and Quiero Club.

Summer Heat Stroke

Quite bored and tired of this summer heat I decided to avoid the sun and stay indoors.

The heat in El Paso is just too extreme to be meandering outdoors.

Retouching the Mug Shot

I was playing around a bit with my image to try and enhance the beauty of my model and this is what I came up with. I first started off by removing some of the distracting blotches of paint in the background and then moved on to adjusting the levels and colors of the image. I then proceeded to the models face where I removed her dark circles, added some eyelashes, and touched up her make up a bit to make her colored eyes stand out.
